Most businesses spend several hours each pay period compiling payroll data, keeping track of employees’ hours, adding up time cards, faxing or calling in payroll, and so on.

How it works
Electronic timekeeping terminals are installed in one or more locations as needed. Employees are issued a magnetic stripe ID card, replacing the use of paper time cards.
Employees clock in and out by sliding their card through the slot on the terminal. They simply press the “IN” key to clock in, or the “OUT” key to clock out, then slide their card through the slot on the terminal. The terminal is programmed to download the information directly into our servers at a pre-set time each night.
The system processes the information received from the terminals each night, matching clock-ins with clock-outs, calculating the hours worked for each employee and forwarding these transactions to the employees’ timekeeping files. If an employee fails to clock correctly, the system can be programmed to automatically send notice to the owner or manager to correct the entry.
Employees may be assigned to more than one location or department, and at different pay rates for labor distribution tracking, if required.
Shift scheduling may also be utilized to help control unauthorized overtime. This allows an employer to set specific hours for one or more employees, so that if an employee clocks in early at the beginning of the shift, or late at the end of the shift, their time would be adjusted to the predetermined shift time. In order to comply with wage and hour laws, this feature requires a supervised environment.
